Abdominal Imaging and Intervention
The Abdominal Imaging and Intervention Section is composed of subspecialized clinical faculty physicians and research scientists. The clinical faculty are experts in the use of CT, ultrasound, MRI, radiography, and fluoroscopy for diagnosis and intervention in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. We are actively involved in advancing the research mission of the University of Wisconsin, with extensive grant funding and independent research laboratories in tumor ablation and artificial intelligence.
The section is home to several departmental leaders, including Chair Scott Reeder, MD, PhD and Senior Vice Chair of Education David Kim, MD. The section supports up to six abdominal radiology fellows per year.
Vision Statement
The Abdominal Imaging Intervention Section at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health will lead the next era of abdominal radiology and intervention by integrating clinical excellence, research, education, and informatics-driven solutions to deliver precise, scalable, and patient-centered care.
