Biography
Leslie Nelson, DO grew up in Oregon, WI. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University in 2018. She completed her internship in general surgery and diagnostic radiology residency at University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. Dr. Nelson returned to UW for her Abdominal Imaging and Intervention fellowship.
Dr. Nelson joined the Abdominal Imaging and Intervention section as an assistant professor (CHS) in 2024 and became the director of the Abdominal Imaging and Intervention Fellowship program in 2026. Her professional interests include US/CT-guided biopsies, gynecologic and hepatic imaging.
