Anand Narayan’s blueprint to address screening disparities featured by Bioengineer.org
UW Department of Radiology Vice Chair of Health Equity Anand Narayan, MD, PhD; Lewis Jordan, MD, MPH, MS; Elizabeth Burnside, MD, MPH; and colleagues from other institutions share their ‘blueprint’ to implement actionable steps to address known barriers that contribute to breast cancer screening disparities in the group’s recent publication “Design of an implementation blueprint to reduce breast cancer disparities using health equity informed implementation science frameworks.”
The publication features a guided, fill-in-the-blank approach for cancer centers to tailor, implement, and evaluate interventions to increase mammography screening and reduce screening disparities among underserved populations.
