Radiology faculty work featured by AuntMinnie.com

AuntMinnie.com recently highlighted works by UW–Madison radiology faculty members.

The first feature showcases interview segments, with Thomas Grist, MD and co-author Reed Omary, MD from Vanderbilt University Medical Center discussing their publication “The Translational Medicine of 2030: Bedside to Biosphere.” Drs. Grist and Omary advocate for sustainability research and believe that radiology can lead this research the same way it helped lead medicine’s digital transformation.

Scaling down from the biosphere and back to the individual patient, the second feature illustrates body composition changes in patients using Ozempic (semaglutide) for diabetes type 2 treatment or obesity. New faculty member, Leslie Nelson, DO, led this research project “Intrapatient Changes in CT-Based Body Composition After Initiation of Semaglutide (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Agonist) Therapy” during her fellowship at UW–Madison. Radiology faculty members Matthew Lee, MD; John Garrett, PhD; Joshua Warner, MD, PhD; and Perry Pickhardt, MD also contributed to the paper.
