Welcome to the New Trainees (2023-2024)
The University of Wisconsin–Madison Department of Radiology is excited to welcome the incoming class of trainees!
Our residency program is continually recognized as one of the best in the country. That excellence is the result of a number of factors, including carefully crafted and supported call experiences, high-quality didactics, and a strong culture of camaraderie and support.
Our ten residents – who hail from eight different states – represent the next generation of radiologists.
“We are all very excited about this incoming group of accomplished individuals,” says David Kim, MD, the Residency Director. “I have no doubt that they will add to the amazing culture here at UW and develop into fantastic radiologists.”

We are also welcoming a new class of fellows. “Fellows are an integral part of how we express the Wisconsin Idea, in that they take the elements of what they learn during their fellowship year and immediately take it out into the broader world to benefit their future practices and future patients,” says Greg Avey, MD, the Director of Fellowships. “This year’s group of fellows are an accomplished and diverse group, and it is a pleasure to welcome them into the UW Radiology fold.”
