Breast Imaging and Intervention
The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Radiology Breast Imaging and Intervention Section is a nationally recognized team of radiologists who provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary breast care for patients.
The Breast Imaging and Intervention Section provides imaging services at two diagnostic/interventional Breast Centers (University Hospital, Eastpark Medical Center) and seven additional dedicated screening facilities. The Breast Centers are both designated American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence (BICOE) and National Accreditation Program for Breast Center (NAPBC) accredited facilities with state-of-the-art imaging equipment across all facilities.
The section also provides screening and diagnostic services at regional facilities throughout Southern Wisconsin. Our equipment and services include digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) mammography at all sites, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided breast biopsy capabilities, as well as molecular breast imaging services through our PET/MRI program.
