Faculty Spotlight: Aaron Cronican
Aaron Cronican, MD joined the Division of Community Radiology as a clinical assistant professor in September 2026.
Dr. Cronican obtained a medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed an internship in family medicine at Broadlawns Medical Center and a diagnostic radiology residency at HCA Healthcare Sunrise Health in Las Vegas. He did his musculoskeletal imaging and intervention fellowship with the department.

Omaha, Nebraska.
Why did you choose radiology?
I chose radiology because it allows me to problem solve across a broad range of diseases and fields of medicine with emphasis on the diagnosis.
What are your professional interests?
Musculoskeletal and general diagnostic imaging, image-guided procedures, and patient-centered radiology.
Why did you choose to work at UW–Madison?
I chose to work at UW–Madison because the professional and collegial work environment here is unmatched and thoroughly enjoy being a part of it.
What are your hobbies?
Exercising, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
