Research and Development Funds
The UW Department of Radiology’s research and development (R&D) program supports new directions in imaging research, educational initiatives, and the development of promising early-stage projects.
By providing seed funding, the department enables investigators to obtain preliminary data in preparation for major grant applications. Educational projects are also funded to foster interest and expertise in imaging education and to promote career development for teachers and academic leaders in imaging sciences. One-time awards to cover expenses such as travel costs, poster printing costs, phantom costs, or other expenses necessary to advance ongoing imaging sciences research are also considered.
Similar resources are provided by the UW–Madison Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR). This includes training and funding to help clinical and translational researchers from many fields grow their careers and increase their impact.
