Biography
Salman Islam, MD obtained his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. He completed his internship at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital and residency at the University of Chicago Medicine, during which he served as chief resident. He completed a body imaging fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Islam joined the Section of Abdominal Imaging and Intervention as an assistant professor (CHS) in 2026. His professional interests include imaging of appendiceal tumors, prostate cancer, and peritoneal disease. He also has a strong passion for medical education.
