Biography
Mu-Lan Jen, PhD grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. After earning a master’s degree from Chang Gung University, Dr. Jen came to UW–Madison to pursue her PhD in medical physics. She then completed the imaging physics residency and postdoctoral fellowship at UT MD Anderson, where she also served as chief resident.
Dr. Jen supports the clinical imaging physics team in MRI, mammography, and general radiography. Her research centers on advanced MR neuroimaging to better characterize brain physiology and neurological conditions. She focuses on developing MRI methods to investigate neuronal functions and microvascular environments.
She joined the Clinical Imaging Physics and Imaging Sciences Sections as an assistant professor (CHS) in 2026.
