Elliott Russell, MD

Biography

Elliott Russell, MD was born and raised in Ames, Iowa. Dr. Russell pursued his undergraduate studies at Syracuse University and spent the fall 2013 semester studying abroad at the University College Dublin in Ireland. He graduated from Syracuse University with two bachelor’s degrees in biotechnology and bioengineering in 2015. Dr. Russell attended Northwestern University for medical school before completing his internship in general surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago.

In 2020, Dr. Russell joined the University of Wisconsin Department of Radiology as an integrated interventional radiology resident and served as chief resident during his final year of residency.

Dr. Russell joined the Section of Interventional Radiology as a clinical assistant professor in 2025. His professional interests include providing excellent clinical care, resident education and expanding access to interventional radiology.
