Stéphane Desouches, DO

Biography

Stéphane Desouches, DO grew up in Santa Cruz, California. He obtained his biology and biochemistry undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Santa Cruz and his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine in 2012. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine. Following his residency, Dr. Desouches completed his fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

He has been a member of the Radiology Research Alliance and the Association of University Radiologists since 2014. Prior to joining the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Desouches was an associate professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) where he served as vice chair of education from 2022 to 2025. During his tenure at MCW, he was named Resident Advocate of the Year four times and was chair of the Radiology Education Committee and Radiology Residency Education Workgroup.

Dr. Desouches joined the new Section of Emergency Radiology as an associate professor (CHS) and section chief in 2025. His professional interests include resident and fellow education, curriculum development, and trainee mentorship.
