Sanchay Jain, MD, MBBS

Sanchay Jain, MD, MBBS grew up in Bhopal, India. Dr. Jain earned his primary medical degree (MBBS) from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. Subsequently, he completed nuclear medicine residency training (MD in nuclear medicine) followed by additional clinical experience in nuclear medicine at academic institutions in India. He then completed a nuclear oncology fellowship and a nuclear medicine residency at the University of Iowa Health Care, Iowa City during which he also served as the chief resident.  

Dr. Jain serves as a member of multiple committees within the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), U.S., including the Clinical Trials Network (CTN) operations committee, Committee on Procedure Standards, Committee on Early Career Professionals & In-Training, Committee on Outreach – Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET) Outreach Working Group. He has delivered presentations in numerous national and international scientific meetings and has been awarded for his research including at the SNMMI and American College of Nuclear Medicine (ACNM) meetings.  

Sanchay Jain, MD, MBBS joined the Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Section as an assistant professor (CHS) in 2026. His professional interests include theranostics, radiopharmaceutical clinical trials, novel oncologic radiotracers, and neuroendocrine tumors.
