Where are you from? 

I grew up in the Northwest Chicago suburbs.

Why did you choose radiology?  

I was drawn to radiology because it sits at the crossroads of nearly every department in the hospital, allowing radiologists to provide guidance to clinicians across almost every specialty. I also appreciate the unique opportunity radiologists have to impact the care of a multitude of patients every day, often uncovering challenging diagnoses that may not be readily apparent clinically.

What are your professional interests?  

I enjoy all aspects of neuroradiology, with a particular interest in neuro-oncologic imaging. Historically, many neuro-oncologic diagnoses carried a devastating prognosis, but advances in treatment are making these diseases increasingly manageable. Imaging plays a central role in monitoring treatment response and helping guide patient care as new therapies continue to emerge.

I also completed a focused mini-fellowship in abdominal imaging and have a particular interest in abdominal MRI. I enjoy the ability to diagnose and characterize lesions noninvasively, often providing valuable diagnostic information without the need for invasive procedures.

Finally, having benefited from outstanding teachers and mentors throughout my training, I feel strongly about the importance of medical student and resident education. I enjoy teaching and hope to help empower and inspire the next generation of radiologists.

I was drawn to UW–Madison because of its collegial environment, commitment to clinical excellence, and culture of innovation. It is an exciting place to work, with a strong emphasis on both providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of radiology.

What are your hobbies?  

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two young children. We love trying new restaurants and exploring different cuisines. I also enjoy playing pickup basketball whenever I can.
