This study seeks to evaluate changes in tendon morphology and mechanics that occur with aging, and to evaluate effects on functional performance. IDEAL scans of the full lower leg will be used to obtain muscle and tendon geometries for use in finite element modeling. Additionally, UTE scans of the Achilles tendon will be used to quantitatively assess bound and free water.
