Research

The section of Imaging Sciences supports several internationally-recognized research programs. The MRI research program is world-renowned for its work in developing novel and highly-innovative vascular imaging applications. The tumor ablation program consists of both a pre-clinical laboratory for device discovery and development as well as an active clinical research program. The CT research program has developed a variety of novel imaging methods that improve image quality and reduce radiation dose. The dedicated contrast agent development laboratory is recognized for its development of a highly-selective and sensitive agent that targets tumors for purposes of diagnostic imaging or therapeutic treatment. A strategic alliance with GE Healthcare provides the latest software and hardware advances for use by section members.
