The UW School of Medicine and Public Health (UW SMPH) Department of Radiology Breast Imaging Section is part of the UW Health Multidisciplinary Breast Care Program which provides unique comprehensive care for patients.

The Breast Imaging Section provides interpretation of a wide range of breast imaging studies, including mammography, ultrasound, and breast MRI, in addition to a full range of interventional procedures. The section is composed of expert faculty with a diverse range of training and research interests. Our imaging facility is an American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Center of Excellence with state-of-the-art imaging equipment, including all digital mammography, breast MRI, breast ultrasound, and stereotactic, MRI-guided, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy capabilities. Our research includes work in medical decision-making, breast MRI techniques, education methods, and high risk lesions of the breast.
