The term of this project was: March 2016 to March 2017

The number of subjects scanned during this project was: 15

We will perform a novel MR imaging method called 3D-Cones, which is an ultra-short echo-time, T2* mapping sequence and we will also perform some conventional MRI sequences on approximately 10 patients with patellar tendinopathy. We will compare bi-component T2* parameters acquired from the patellar tendon from 10 patients with patellar tendinopathy to the bi-component T2* parameters acquired from the patellar tendon from 10 asymptomatic controls who have been previously imaged as part of another research study.
