This project was funded by: NIH

The term of this project was: August 2015 to December 2018

The number of subjects scanned during this project was: 50

The overall purpose of this research is to validate rapid confounder-corrected R2*-MRI as a biomarker of liver iron overload in a multi-site (Stanford, UT-Southwestern, Hopkins), multi-vender (GE, Phillips, and Siemens) study, at different field strengths (1.5T and 3T) and in a racially/ethnically diverse subject population.
