Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI)-2 is a study that will use MRI as well as other clinical measures to study the pathology of Alzheimer’s Disease as it progresses from normal aging, to mild memory symptoms, to dementia. This study is also focused on developing improved methods which will lead to uniform standards for acquiring longitudinal multi-site MRI data. Finally, this study will identify outcome measures that can be used in clinical trials, and help develop the most effective clinical trial scenarios for research in Alzheimer’s Disease.
