Biography

Mark Schiebler, MD, joined the UW Department of Radiology faculty in 2007, as a Professor of Cardiothoracic Radiology. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, with High Honors in Microbiology, he received his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Schiebler completed his Radiology residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington DC, and a fellowship in CT/US, followed by a MRI Fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. He is a member of the Fleischner Society, Board Chairman of the International Workshop for Functional Pulmonary Imaging, and a Deputy Editor of Radiology, the journal of the RSNA. Dr. Schiebler has authored over 90 articles and has been awarded two patents. His professional interests include outcomes analysis, and using mathematical modeling to improve the quality and decrease the cost of health care. His personal interests include hiking, cycling, and digital art.
