Dr. Ziemlewicz is an Associate Professor of Radiology in the section of Abdominal Imaging and Intervention. He serves as an assistant residency program director and chairs the programs clinical competency committee. His clinical interests are in image-guided intervention, including tumor ablation, and surgical planning via image post-processing. He joined the faculty in 2010 following the completion of an abdominal imaging fellowship at Duke University and diagnostic radiology residency at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.

His research is focused on image-guided tumor ablation and image post-processing with over 40 peer-reviewed publications and near 100 presentations and posters at national meetings. He is a frequent mentor to medical and undergraduate students as they start their research careers via the Shapiro and RUSCH programs through the School of Medicine and Public Health. He serves as the associate editor for intervention for the journal Abdominal Radiology and is a con-investigator on multiple NIH-funded grants through his work on tumor ablation.

Personal interests include music and musical theater, spending time with his wonderful family, brewing beer, and sports (particularly Detroit teams and Michigan football).
