Abdominal Imaging Faculty Position

The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine & Public Health is seeking a full time radiologist, interested in pursuing an academic career in abdominal imaging and intervention at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor on the CHS (Clinical Health Sciences) Track or Tenure Track.

The Abdominal Imaging Section consists of 13 faculty members and 6 fellows. We are a large, diverse section with an extensive track record of academic success including over 1,350 scientific publications, 150 book chapters, and 2,000 scholarly presentations along with 179 (and counting) research awards and over $23,000,000 in research grants as Principal Investigators. We have ample resources including access to cutting edge technology from GE Healthcare and protected academic time commensurate with productivity and funding. Clinically, we cover the full scope of academic Abdominal Imaging and Intervention, including the interpretation of CT, MRI, US, fluoroscopy, and plain films, as well as minimally invasive procedures utilizing US and CT guidance (biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, aspirations, etc). We also have active educational programs with a required medical student rotation, 32 dedicated Radiology residents and 6 Abdominal Imaging and Intervention Fellows per year.

This position will perform clinical duties in the Abdominal Imaging Section. Teach medical students, residents, fellows, and other professionals. Participate in departmental outreach as appropriate. In this position, you will be expected to participate actively in all of our research, education and clinical endeavors.

Candidates must have MD and be board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. Must be eligible to obtain a Wisconsin Medical License. Fellowship training in abdominal imaging required. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research. Wisconsin Caregiver Law applies.
