Our mission is to train compassionate highly competent radiologists who are leaders in the field of radiology through a collegial educational environment, interaction with world-class faculty, and access to advanced imaging equipment and techniques.
The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Radiology Breast Imaging and Intervention Section is a nationally recognized team of radiologists who provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary breast care for patients.
The Breast Imaging and Intervention Section provides imaging services at two diagnostic/interventional clinics (University Hospital, 1 South Park Clinic) and six dedicated screening facilities. The Section also provides screening and diagnostic services at regional facilities in Southern Wisconsin. Diagnostic clinics are American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence (BICOE) and there is state-of-the-art imaging equipment across facilities. Our equipment and services include digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) mammography at all sites, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided breast biopsy capabilities.
