Dr. Scott Nagle is an Assistant Professor of Radiology in the Cardiothoracic and Magnetic Resonance Imaging divisions. He joined the faculty in 2009 after having completed an MRI Fellowship at UW-Madison. In addition, he is the Director of Cardiac Radiology at the Wm. S. Middleton Veterans Administration Hospital, where he is leading the development and implementation of cardiovascular CT and MRI services at that institution.
Dr. Nagle completed his PhD in Medical Physics at the University of Chicago, where his thesis work involved optimizing data-sampling strategies for MRI in order to shorten imaging time. In addition to his administrative work building a cardiovascular imaging program at the VA hospital, he is involved with research, with active projects related to pulmonary MR angiography and MRI of pulmonary inflammation using hyperpolarized He-3 and C-13.
Interests: Film, aviation, history, modern classical music (of the tonal variety!)
