Dr. Yonker Wang is a pediatric radiologist and adult imager serving American Family Children’s Hospital, UW Hospital and Clinics, as well as Meriter Hospital. He completed his medical school, radiology residency and fellowships training in China and became an attending radiologist at age of 27. He completed his U.S. radiology residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee and pediatric radiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. He joined UW department of radiology in 2008 after several years of private practice. During his MRI research fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin, he was one of the key investigators using MRI, functional MRI and MRI spectroscopy to investigate neurodegenerative diseases and human cocaine abuse funded by the NIH. He has published dozens of peer reviewed papers and book chapters both in China and the U.S. His current research interest is Autism, investigated with functional MRI, DTI and neuroconnectivity MRI.
